Hmm.. Britney Spears has been seen this week with a little bump in her stomach. Is she going to have a baby? Let's hope NOT! The last thing Britney needs right now is another child. This hasn't been on my mind, but this weeks pictures are getting me worried.

Brit's night out with Jamie Spears
After a three-hour visit with her sons on Saturday (her first since Jan. 3), Britney Spears continued her family time Saturday night, stepping out to Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills with her father, Jamie.
Just before 8 p.m., the pop star and her dad were joined by an assistant, a family friend and two bodyguards for dinner. Clad in a purple silk dress, Spears smiled and appeared in good spirits as she headed inside.
"Britney looked stunning and everyone turned around to get a glimpse of her," says a witness at the restaurant, adding that the group lead Spears to a private dining room. "Everyone seemed extremely protective of Britney."
The party of six dined on a seafood tower with lobster, steak, french fries and lobster mashed potatoes. But Spears's good mood seemed to diminish over dinner. According to an observer, "She seemed quiet." After numerous bathroom and cigarette breaks, Spears and co. left the restaurant around 9:30 p.m., making their way through a pack of photographers with the help of restaurant staff.
Asked if he'd ever helped a celebrity exit the restaurant, a chef told PEOPLE, "Never! It was like being in a war zone. I almost lost my [chef's] hat."

The men in white coats were after Britney last night -- but this time they were the chefs and wait staff at Mastros, who came outside in droves to help Britney part the sea of paps as she exited the eatery!

Adnan visits Britney
After having dinner with her father Jaime at Maestro’s steakhouse last night, Britney’s boyfriend Adnan showed up at The Summit for a visit with Britney. What a great day for Britney yesterday. She started out by spending some time with her two boys, then dinner with her Father and ends it off with a visit with her man.

Britney had a good time at dinner
We're used to seeing Britney Spears stepping out to grab a bite with a male companion - but we like it best when the companion in question happens to be her dad!
Yes, Britney and Jamie dined together at Mastro's Steakhouse last night. The dynamic duo kept it low-key, although they certainly appeared to be enjoying their time together - we even caught Britney grinning like the Cheshire Cat as she and Jamie left!

Britney & Jamie having dinner.
Saying Goodbye
So here's how the reunion went down:
The boys left Kevin Federline's at 9 am, driven by Lonnie, Kevin's bodyguard, in the gray Dodge Viper truck.
Per the legal agreement that Brit's dad Jamie helped craft and which was approved by Commissioner Scott Gordon late last night, the boys could visit Brit only if certain rules were followed.
The rules were: several people had to be with Briney and the boys while the visit took place only within the confines of her living room. The list of people included Jamie, a court-ordered monitor, a psychiatrist, KFed's security and a lawyer from
Luce-Forward who act as half of her conservator team.
Britney was not allowed to take the boys away from the common area, where the several observers were stationed. This requirement was in place because we all remember happened on January 3, when Britney took Jayden into her bathroom for three hours. Britney hadn't seen the boys since that day. She's had very infrequent phone chats with Sean and Jayden since then.
The visit was to last no more than three hours and, in fact, the boys left Britney's promptly at noon.

(POM) Drops in New Zealand
"Piece of Me" dropped four spots from #7 to #11 this week. That's ok though, the single did peak at #4 and has had a good run in New Zealand. It has already become a bigger hit than "Gimme More" which peaked at #15. So that means "Piece of Me" has been a bigger hit than "Gimme More" in some countries such as the UK. Lets hope "Break The Ice" can top this!

Music Video Update.
Many have forgotten, however, that in the summer of 2007 Britney has shot 2 times the video. The first video was shot on 9 July and were shooting for Gimme More. The second part of shooting continued for Gimme More on 07 August and ended the night 08 August.
People.com and MTV.com announced that Britney actually ended on 7 August shooting of Gimme More, and then begin and end those of a new video. It said that the second video filmed in the day was Piece Of Me, but now we begin to think that the video Break The Ice was shot in the day.

Britney see's her boys again!!!

Britney spears will be back in her boys lives :)
In what OK! has learned was a deal more than a week in the making, a judge has ruled that Britney Spears will once again receive visitation rights with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. Under the ruling, Britney can see her boys in a "theraputic setting"--meaning, among other stipulations, that Jamie Spears and Brit's psychiatrist must be present.
Kevin Federline is reportedly on board with the commissioner's decision and is, along with lawyers for both sides, impressed at Jamie's ability to quiet the whirlwind surrounding Britney's life.
K-fed's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan tells OK! exclusively that today's ruling would never have happened if Jamie hadn't stepped in to stabilize his daughter.
"Obviously this wouldn’t have happened if Jamie Spears wasn’t involved but there’s much more to it than those two people being present,” Kaplan tells OK! exclusively. "Let’s just say that my partner Jim Simon and I put lots of specific terms, conditions and protections in place that go far beyond those two people being present."
So how soon will Britney get to see her boys? "Britney very, very soon will be seeing her boys again," Kaplan tell OK!. "At the moment we are waiting for the orders to be signed and faxed by the judge and assuming that we receive that tonight, visitation will happen very quickly.”

Britney has won visitation rights!!!
TMZ has learned Britney Spears has won her visitation rights back -- with strings attached.
We're told lawyers for both sides have hashed out a deal in which Britney will get visitation in a therapeutic setting. Commish Scott Gordon has signed off on the agreement.
It's a deal more than a week in the making. The parties had agreed in principle last weekend to a deal but it fell apart in court last Tuesday.
We're also told K-Fed is down with Britney seeing the kids again.

Conservatorship Case
In the latest hearing today regarding Britney Spears' conservatorship, the judge stated that the case is now in a "holding pattern," because it is currently in the hands of the federal court.
Federal court judge Gutierrez is expected to rule next week on whether the conservatorship should be moved to federal court. There will be no hearing and it is expected that the request, to be filed today by Britney's advocate Jon Eardley, will be denied. The case will thus be returned to superior court. Even so, Jamie Spears, Britney's father and conservator, has until Monday to respond to the request.
It was also noted that Sam Lutfi has finally been served with his temporary restraining order, which the judge extended to March 17, when Sam is expected to appear in court.

Nicole Richie is well into motherhood now, but that doesn't mean she doesn't like to revisit her wild-child days ... in a good way. And girl loves her some Britney.
Richie and baby daddy Joel Madden got their groove on at Teddy's last weekend, reports Us, five weeks after daughter Harlow popped out. "Nicole was having a blast," says a spy to Us. "She was her old self again -- not in a bad way, but she was letting her hair down."
So what really got Nicole going? "Gimme More," apparently, whereupon she got on her booth and "danced crazily."

Britney & Alli.. Working Together??
Alli Sims says she is still talking to cousin Britney Spears.
"I cannot really say much more about [her], but she is doing well," Sims told Usmagazine.com at the Montblanc Oscar Brunch at Casey Johnson's Villa in Beverly Hills last night.
Spears has been involuntarily hospitalized twice to treat her bipolar disorder. She is currently under the supervision of her parents (her father was granted legal, financial, and medical control of her life) and hasn't seen her two sons since January 3.
"Everybody just keeps supporting her and rooting [for] her because everyone kind of goes through weird little patches in [their] life," Sims told Us.
"You just need friends and family and everyone to support you and help you through it, and everything will be okay."
Sims, who is working on her first album, says she and Spears "will definitely collaborate on something."
"I think we are kind of both open to anything," Sims said. "We are really good friends, we are really close, and we really love working on stuff together, so I think that possibly something like that could happen."
Sims lived with Spears for eight months last year and previously told Us, "I wish people would give her a break and lay off her."

Britney's case is now "Federal"
In a surprise announcement Friday afternoon, Commissioner Reva Goetz announced that the case regarding the conservatorship of singer Britney Spears is now "in a holding pattern," because it is now in the hands of federal court judge to decide who has jurisdiction over these matters.
On Feb. 14, a lawyer named John Eardley filed papers with the court claiming that the current state of the conservatorship, which is managed by Brit's dad Jamie Spears and court-appointed attorney Andrew Wallet, violates the pop star's constitutional rights and that both the conservatorship case and her ongoing custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline should be moved into the jurisdiction of a federal court.
On Tuesday, the commissioner in the custody case said earlier this week that that case would stay put and the same decision was expected to come out of Commissioner Goetz's courtroom today. However, everyone must now wait until Feb. 25, when a federal court will hear the motion and decide whether it should become a federal case or be remanded back to Commissioner Goetz.
Should the case not become a federal matter, the next hearing is scheduled for March 10, where the topic of extending — or possibly making permanent — the conservatorship will be discussed.

Britney could get the chance to testify
Michael Sands, the spokesperson for Brit's attorney Jon Eardley, says that Eardley filed documents yesterday with the federal court requesting a jury trial.
If Judge Philip Gutierrez, whom, according to Sands "is willing to listen", approves the request, Britney herself will get the chance to take the stand and speak for herself in a court of law.
Additionally, Sands tells us Gutierrez moved up the deadline for filing paperwork to today, the 22nd, (from February 29th) and that Eardley is ready to go with his defense of Britney's civil rights violation.
As we reported yesterday, Sam, Michael Sands and Jon Eardley may be in court today (Sands wasn't yet sure) to discuss the restraining order that Sam willingly accepted Thursday morning.

Sam's Restraining Order Extended
A federal judge late Thursday extended until March 17 a temporary restraining order preventing Britney Spears's pal Sam Lutfi from approaching the troubled pop star and her family, according to court papers
The two-page order by U.S. District Judge Phillip Gutierrez was in response to a request by Spears's father Jamie Spears, who is co-conservator of her $100 million estate.
Jamie had asked the judge to extend the temporary restraining order – served on Thursday and set to expire a day later on Friday – until the judge rules on an unusual civil rights challenge to the conservatorship.
The temporary restraining order could be extended at a March 17 hearing. But Jamie Spears would have to be able to successfully serve Lutfi with notice of the hearing; in the past, Jamie has complained that Lutfi apparently attempted to dodge being served.
The temporary restraining order, which forbids Lutfi from getting within 250 yards of Spears, her homes and her family's homes, alleges: "Mr. Lutfi has drugged Britney. He has cut Britney's home phone line and removed her cell phone chargers. He claims to control everything."

Madonna would put a smile on Britney
It is no secret that sad Britney Spears has a long history with Madonna. The songstresses teamed up to make music (and make out) for Brit's 2003 album "In the Zone," and at the time were even spotted donning T-shirts with each other's name scrawled across their chests. But could Madge be the only one able to pull Brit out of her slump?
"It has been a long time since the two of them really had any solid contact. Britney might not listen to most people, but she has a special kind of bond with Madonna. She is the only person at this point I can think of that really might be able to pull her out of this mess. Britney would love to hear from her," an insider told.

Is Adnan cheating on Britney?
OK! has learned that Adnan Ghalib, Britney Spears' "faithful" boyfriend, may not be the supportive, loving partner he's tried so hard to make himself out to be. On Wednesday around 10 p.m. PT, sources tell OK! that Adnan pulled up to the gate outside Britney's home at the Summit--only to be turned away minutes later!
Perhaps the ill feelings were due to reports of Adnan getting cozy with other women in the weeks following Britneys' release from the UCLA psych ward. An eyewitness confirmed to OK! that just prior to showing up at Brit's house last night, Adnan was videotaped leaving Bossa Nova Restaurant in West Hollywood with a mysterious girl on his arm. When Adnan spotted photographers, he quickly made a dash for it. The girl claimed she was a "business associate."
Adnan has made no secret of his supposed devotion to Britney as she attempts to get her life back in order. However, while Brit has been staying quiet these last few weeks, Adnan has been seen all over town with different girls. Two weeks ago in Beverly Hills, he was spotted with two women, whom he claimed were out of town friends.

So is there a music video or not??
She's been in and out of the dance studio, but has Britney Spears already recorded a music video for the third single off of her latest CD "Blackout?"
Yesterday on MTV.com, next week's Total Request Live show included this blurb written in the schedule for Monday, which set off a firestorm of curiosity:
"...and we're going to snitch a look at 'Break the Ice,' the next music video from a way-under-the-radar performer by the name of Britney Spears."
Since it appeared last night, the sentence was removed from MTV's website and "Extra" has gotten a statement from MTV saying "The video is NOT premiering on Monday."

Sam served with papers .. Finally!
TMZ has learned Brit's BFF, Sam Lutfi, has finally been served with a restraining order from her parents -- sorta.
As we reported earlier, the restraining order had to be served by yesterday at 1:30 PM to be valid. We're told that since it wasn't served until today, it may not be valid! That means they may have to serve him again with updated paperwork.
We hear Sam was finally found at his house in West L.A., today at around 11:00 AM PT as he walked out the door.

Dad wants Britney to wear a GPS Tracking Bracelet
While Britney Spears seems to be thriving under the watchful eye of her dad, Jamie Spears isn’t leaving anything to chance with the most unpredictable of his three children. According to tabloid gossip, Papa Spears recently requested that the twenty-six year old mother of two wear a GPS tracking bracelet so that he can monitor her movements.
Brit agreed and wore a puffa coat to cover up the bulky accessory during a dinner with friends.

She's been in and out of the dance studio, but has Britney Spears already recorded a music video for the third single off of her latest CD "Blackout?"
Yes, according to MTV.com. The music channel's site has posted next weeks Total Request Live show schedule, including this blurb written in the schedule for Monday:
"...and we're going to snitch a look at 'Break the Ice,' the next music video from a way-under-the-radar performer by the name of Britney Spears."
Spears has been seen hitting up Millennium Dance Studio multiple times in the past few weeks, apparently preparing for her latest video. The pop star, who is constantly followed by paparazzi, has not been recently photographed on a music video set, leaving fans scratching their heads as to when the clip was filmed.
"Break the Ice" comes off the heels of two successful Spears singles "Gimme More" and "Piece of Me," both of which were just certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

More news on conservatorship case
Despite some adamant claims to the contrary, Britney Spears' troubles are still very much an L.A. story.
A U.S. District Court judge has given attorney Jon Eardley—the latest legal eagle enlisted by the "Toxic" songstress to battle her father's conservatorship status—until Feb. 29 to provide a legitimate reason to remove the case from Los Angeles to federal court. (View the order.)
A hearing on the matter has been scheduled for Mar. 17.
Sam Lutfi's publicist filed a petition on Feb. 14 to transfer the case on behalf of the New York-based Eardley. The complaint alleged Britney's civil rights had been trampled by the court's refusal to properly investigate her family's claims that she's unfit to manage her finances, choose what company to keep and make various other decisions regarding her welfare.
Michael Sands, acting as spokesman for both Lutfi and Eardley, said last week that he had filed the documents before a court commissioner extended Jamie Spears' temporary conservatorship until Mar. 10, thereby making the action null and void.
Meanwhile, an L.A. Superior Court spokesperson said Friday that all Britney business remained under their jurisdiction.
"Jon Eardley is very happy that the judge will look at the explosive documentary evidence in the Britney Spears conservatorship railroad," Sands told E! News Tuesday.
"This is a very positive step that the judge is concerned. Jon Eardley will have court papers filed by Feb. 29...This is the first step in the victimization of Britney Spears by L.A. Superior Court."
But just in case Eardley can come up with an argument to sway U.S. District Judge Philip Gutierrez, Britney's father has cooked up plenty of reasons to block the switcheroo.
Jamie Spears' camp—arguing that Britney isn't capable of hiring counsel and, therefore, Eardley is "an attorney without a client"—filed a motion Tuesday objecting to Lutfi & Co.'s "brazen—but vain—attempt to strip a probate court of jurisdiction before it could enter Orders" prolonging the conservatorship. (View the motion.)
Eardley's "well-pleaded allegations" do not present an issue of federal law, the filing states, adding that any charges on Eardley's part that Jamie Spears "supplements" his daughter's medication "disregards the fact that the Probate Court has not granted Mr. Spears medical powers and that medications therefore do not fall within the scope of the conservatorship."
In response to Eardley's contention that Britney's "unenviable status of having virtually no privacy in her life" and her "suffocating confinement" at the hands of her conservators could affect the effectiveness of her treatment, the conservators argue, once again, that the probate court did not grant Jamie authority over the troubled pop star's medication.
"Because there is no logical relationship between Britney's fame and the alleged federal interest to be addressed," Eardley's concerns about Britney's medical treatment under her father's care are a moot point.
The conservators are also asking that Eardley foot the bill for this latest round of attorneys' fees, because he "lacked any reasonably objective basis" for filing the removal request.
But it's the fact that Britney was previously ruled incapable of hiring her own lawyers that will likely prove the largest obstacle to sending the case to federal court.
"In Britney's case, the commissioner revoked her power to retain her own legal counsel," Kevin Whittaker, a San Francisco-based litigation attorney who's not involved in the Spears case, told E! News last week. "Oftentimes, the conservatee can retain their own legal counsel. This wasn't the case with Britney. So, the new attorney's claim to be her legal counsel will be found invalid."
A reason why Jamie's camp is arguing that papers filed on her behalf listing Eardley as counsel of record don't amount to a hill of beans.
Jamie and attorney Andrew Wallet were named temporary conservators of Britney's multimillion-dollar estate on Feb. 1, the day after she was admitted to UCLA Medical Center's psych ward for evaluation.
Although Britney was spotted dining out with her dad in Hollywood over the weekend, sources close to her have said she is anxious to extract herself from his legal grip.
She has not met with Eardley in person, Sands said, but they have spoken several times. And sources close to the situation have said Britney has been in contact with Lutfi—through an intermediary.
Lutfi, who has continued to avoid being served with the Spears family's restraining order against him, "is at war with Jamie," a Spears insider told E! News Friday. "This is his first strike."

Sam investigation is totally... FALSE!
Is Sam Lutfi being investigated by the LAPD Major Crimes Division, Robbery Homicide Division, or any other division of the LAPD for allegedly drugging Britney Spears? NO!
TMZ's report today and their Feb 15th report in which they cite "law enforcement sources," are not true, according the the LAPD.
Tyler Gray at Radaronline, picked up the phone and called the LAPD to clarify TMZ's initial report only to find out the whole thing was wrong!
And now we just picked up the phone to do the same and guess what -- LAPD spokesperson Richard French told us the same thing -- Sam Lutfi is NOT being investigated by any division of the the LAPD for anything.
French added that any LAPD employee giving information to the media that could compromise an investigation would certainly be at risk of losing his/her job. That said, it sounds like TMZ sources didn't break any rules -- unless punking a website is a crime!
Meanwhile, Sam's publicist Michael Sands wants to media to stop punking his client and focus on Britney's father Jamie. He posed this challenge to Mr. Spears in a phone conversation with us today...
“Give Britney back her civil rights and be a stand up guy and remove yourself from her residence – please give back her money her credit cards, the keys to her cars and her cell phones until Judge Goetz rules later this month."
Sands invites Jamie Spears to send Sands an e-mail; he says he would like to have a meeting with him personally and extend an olive branch.

Conservatorship case might not go Federal
A Federal judge in the Britney conservatorship case has issued a tentative ruling that the move to make a federal case out of it is ridiculous.
Judge Philip Gutierrez set a deadline of February 29 for Britney's so-called lawyer, Jon Eardley, to explain why on Earth the federal court has any business getting involved in Britney's mental affairs.
The court said it sure seems the Feds have no jurisdiction to interfere, and unless Eardley can convince the judge to the contrary, the case will go back to State court on Feb 29.
In the papers, the lawyers claim Britney was in no position to even hire a lawyer for the federal case because she's not allowed to under the conservatorship order. Attorney Jon Eardley, who filed the federal case, claims Britney hired him.
Lawyers for the conservator also want Eardley to identify everyone with whom he worked to get the federal case filed. It's real clear the conservators believe Sam Lutfi who is behind it, hand he's been restrained from having any contact with Brit.
The conservators' lawyers also want Eardley to pay attorney's fees, claiming the federal file is kinda frivolous.

Driving without a license post-poned
The tangled web of court cases revolving around Britney Spears will be one less--for now. On Wednesday, a Los Angeles Judge continued the singer's driving-without-a licence-case until March 20, after Brit's lawyers argued she was incapable of resolving the matter.
Superior Court Judge T.K. Herman continued the misdemeanor case after lawyer J. Michael Flanagan said Brit's conservatorship attornies "do not think she is qualified or capable of entering into a binding agreement" at this time. Flanagan said the attorneys also don't believe Britney, 26, is capable of giving a deposition or signed declaration.
Earlier this month, a judge placed Spears under the conservatorship of her father and an attorney after more than a year of increasingly bizarre behavior by the singer.
Spears hit a parked car on Aug. 6, 2007, and left without notifying the owner. She was originally cited for hit and run and driving without a license, but the hit-and-run charge was dropped.

Britney's Dad helping Brit on getting kids back
Lawyer: Dad Helping Britney's Bid for Visitation | Britney Spears
What will it take for Britney Spears to regain visitation rights with her two sons? That remains to be seen. But the pop star's tentative reconciliation with her father, Jamie, is a step in the right direction, says Kevin Federline's lawyer.
In fact, attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan was full of praise for the elder Spears, who has emerged as a controversial force in Britney's life recently – and who was front-and-center at Tuesday's family court hearing.
"Jamie Spears's presence is an extreme positive," Kaplan told PEOPLE, adding that the patriarch's continued presence could make it possible "to develop a visitation plan that enables these children to have a mother in their lives."
While Britney's visitation with children Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, was discussed at Tuesday's hearing, there was no official legal progress on the matter. (Spears has not seen her sons since her Jan. 3 standoff with police.) Still, Kaplan said, "[Jamie] brings that day closer. Absolutely."
Jamie's role as temporary co-conservator – overseeing Britney's wellbeing and estimated $100-million fortune – has attracted its share of criticism. His own daughter is apparently seeking legal remedies to regain control and, in a recent interview with PEOPLE, attorney Jon Eardley claimed that Jamie's conservatorship was a "violation of [the singer's] civil rights."
Kaplan, however, sees Jamie's control as a "huge step." "He's building from the ground up," the attorney explained. "[He's] stabilizing the situation, removing people that may not have had [Britney's] best interests at heart."
Does that mean Britney could see her kids again in the near future?
"We all want this as soon as possible," said Kaplan. "That's Kevin's desire – to have his kids visiting their mother. That's everyone's goal in this case."

New Hairdo, and lesson for the paps
Our photogs may have turned out for Britney Spears last night - but it looks like they met a new star instead!
The whole celebrity press corps showed up at the B2V Salon to catch a glimpse of the pop princess getting her hair done.

The West Hollywood police gave the photogs a talking to and even snapped some handcuffs on a couple of them and threw them in the back of a police car! No one was arrested but the paps learned the finer points of not blocking a driveway!

Lawyers came to no agreement.
Despite a desire on both sides of the Britney Spears and Kevin Federline custody battle to see the pop star reunited with her two boys, no agreement was reached in court on Tuesday and Britney's visitation privileges remain as before, meaning that the pop star can only speak to her children over the phone.
Speaking to OK! after today's proceedings, Kevin's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said that his client "wants to see the day when the boys have their mom back in their life... it's just a question of working out the details."
Of course, this news was just the capper on what was a big day in court for the lawyers in the Spears/Federline case.
As OK! was the first to report, Britney Spears has found new legal representation in the form of celeb divorce specialist Stacy Phillips. This comes in the wake of her lawyers at Trope & Trope filing their second request to be removed from the child custody case.
Phillips, who has handled the former spouses of everyone from Axl Rose to Tori Spelling, was accepted by the court and will officially replace Trope & Trope at the end of today's proceedings. (CLICK HERE for a more detailed background on this dragon lady of divorce).
For today, Phillips will work alongside Trope attorney Anne Kiley as she argues several issues, including visitation privileges and a request for a gag order.
First up today was the issue of the gag order. In a statement to the judge, Kiley claimed that "First Amendment rights aren't absolute... We are not trying to control the paparazzi. We are trying to control what we can control." Kiley then pointed a legal finger at Kaplan, saying, "We have heard nothing from the respondent in his papers or arguments as to why it is that attorneys need to make statements to the media."
For his part, Kaplan argued that since the court has sealed most of the documents related to the case and since the courtroom is often closed to the public, there is no need for the gag order. And it appears that Commissioner Gordon agreed, ruling against the request and stating that "the public has a right to know what the court is doing and to see that it's fair." He added, "all the attorneys in this case have proceeded with nothing but dignity."

Britney didn't get any visitation rights. :(
The lawyers couldn't agree amongst themselves -- so Brit will not get visitation with Sean Preston and Jayden James.
There is no change in the custody order. Also, the Commish made it clear - the issues with the conservatorship being removed to Federal court have no bearing on the custody case.
Also, Trope and Trope is out as Brit's lawyer. Stacy Phillips is now the new lawyer on the case.
It's ironic, we know K-Daddy wants Brit to have visitation and the lawyers came to court today trying to accommodate that, but it didn't happen. Daddy Jamie also has wanted to create some normalcy in Brit's life and wanted visitation restored in a bad way, but it wasn't meant to be.
UPDATE: We hear they're going to work through lunch to try to hammer out an agreement and they'll all be back in court at 1:30 PM PT.

[[It's really sad. Every one that's close to Britney knows that she is a great mom. The court doesn't know because they don't live with her in her house. Kevin just wants spousal support from Britney. He wants the money. That was his goal when he met Britney. He never loved her. And I know that because look at all that he has done to Britney. ]]
Kevin want's Britney to see their boys
Sources tell TMZ Kevin Federline would like Britney to see her kids, even during the conservatorship.
We're told K-Fed has no prob allowing the kids to visit Brit at her home, with one string attached - that Brit's parents are present during the visits.
We hear K-Fed isn't worried that anything bad would happen to the kids, his biggest concern is that Britney might drive with them, but Jamie would be there to put the kibosh on that.
Sources also say K-Fed doesn't want custody 100% of the time - it's just too much. He'd like Britney to share custody or at least visitation.
And we're hearing there's talk Britney could go to a private facility for treatment and K-Fed would have no problem allowing the kids to visit her there, just as they did when Brit was at Promises. We're told there was a plan weeks ago to get Brit to an out-of-state facility but that didn't work out. Finding a private treatment facility is a priority, however, the powers of the conservators are limited and it just ain't that easy.

[[Fuck you Kevin. Don't get me wrong. I do want Britney to see her kids again but you (Kevin) were the whole reason she got her kids taken away. You wanted sole/physical custody of Sean Preston(2) and Jayden James(1). I guess you can't take being a full time dad.]]
Britney's New Lawyer
TMZ has learned attorney Stacy Phillips will take the reigns in Britney's custody case - well, kinda sorta.
Sources say Phillips, who has repped Bobby Brown and Tori Spelling's ex, will represent the conservatorship, which is making decisions in the custody case. We're told Jamie Spears has signed off on Phillips, so the way is clear for Trope and Trope to leave the case. But there's a catch.
We're told Commish Scott Gordon wants assurance that Brit will be protected with a lawyer SHE personally chooses when the conservatorship ends.
Phillips is in court right now and there will be big developments today.

Brits lawyers will ask for visitation rights.
As lawyers for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline head into the courtroom Tuesday morning, they'll be coming armed to discuss a number of topics — from visitation rights to gag orders to announcing a new attorney for Britney.
Primary among these will be the likely request by Brit's side that the singer, who for now only has the right to speak to her boys, Sean Preston, 2, and one-year-old Jayden James, over the phone, be allowed to spend some supervised time with them.
"She has regular conversations with the boys," a source close to the Spears family confirms to OK!. "But obviously since they're so young, there's only so much connecting you can do over the phone."
However, sources tell OK! that it's unlikely the Commissioner will grant any change in the current visitation privileges until a complete psychological evaluation is completed.
Next up on the day's legal menu is the gag order that OK! reported about over the weekend. This was actually something Brit's legal team had requested be put in place in late 2007, but is only now coming up on the agenda. If granted, it would bar everyone involved in the case from speaking publicly about the matter.
But perhaps the most crucial issue to come before the court today would be the changing of Brit's legal guard. Last week, her current reps from Trope & Trope filed another request with the court to be removed immediately from the case. Many insiders believe that their replacement will be named during today's hearing. And while some say Brit's original attorney Laura Wasser will return to the fray, OK!'s sources are saying the most likely replacement is divorce-attorney-to-the-stars Stacy Phillips.

Britney's assistant "Brett".
I can’t help but assume that Lynne Spears had something to do with the finding & hiring of Britney Assistant, "Brett".
On October 6, 2007. Britney and her mom, Lynne, were seen together, taking a walk along with Sean Preston(2) and Jayden James(1). It was the first time they had met since Britney served her mother with papers in June of 07'.
Then, on October 8, 2007, two days later. Britney’s “new assistant,” Brett, appears. However, she only is seen until October 12, 2007 and then disappears.
On January 28, 2008. Lynne Spears arrived in Los Angeles from Louisiana and Britney was hospitalized on January 31 but released on February 6.
Brett re-appears 3 days later. On February 9.
In the October 29, 2007 issue of Life & Style magazine they wrote a little blurb on Brett saying that she is “a loaner from Britney’s brother, Bryan.”
Brett had to be introduced to Britney by a member of the Spears Family. This can’t just be a coincidence.

Court hearing tomorrow
According to x17online, "Commissioner Scott Gordon has apparently "had it" with the large number of ex-parte hearings called in the Britney case - they're not normal. Tomorrow's 8:30 a.m. hearing (Britney herself is not expected to appear) will consolidate a number of issues."
Also, Britney's current lawyers Trope and Trope, who have filed to bow out of any future court hearings representing Britney, are filing a motion to get Britney back 50/50 custody of their two children with Kevin.
On top of that, a gag order is also being requested, hopefully meaning the media will back down a bit. All good news!
OK! is reporting that Britney is looking into "family-law attorney to the stars Stacy Phillips of the law firm Phillips, Lerner, Lauzon & Jamra," to represent her in her custody case.
X17 continues to say that Britney's new attorney, Jon Eardley, is reporting that Britney has told him that she "wants her life back." Eardley says Britney's rights have been opressed, and says it is a "deprivation of [her] civil rights." According to Eardley, Britney is restricted to do the following:
- "Not allowed a single hearing before the court."
- "Cannot access counsel of her choosing and to meet with her counsel in a private meeting."
- "Denied the right to associate freely with her friends" - which also includes no telephone calls, no driving nor the right "to receive and send mail."
- "She has been denied the right to her finances."
Sounds like Britney is coherent and aware enough to realize the seriousness of the situation, and is taking the necessary steps to get her life back, one step at a time.

Britney "I want to see who i want to see".
"I want my life back; I want to be able to drive my car; I want to be able to live in my house by myself. I want to say who is going to be my security guard. I want to see who I want to see at any time and make it happen."

Britney and Alli "BFF'S"
E! News has learned that Britney Spears met secretly with her pal Alli Sims Friday afternoon at the Fred Segal boutique in West Hollywood.
Sources tell E! that Sims arrived at the store about 10 minutes before Britney who then tried to slip inside unnoticed. A source tells E! that Spears hatched the meet-up via text-message, reportedly instructing Sims to meet her in a dressing room there.
The stealth tactics were apparently prompted by the fact that Alli has been prohibited from seeing Britney by her father Jamie Spears due to Alli's loyalty to Britney's former manager and confidante Sam Lutfi. After their cloakroom confab, the pair shopped together briefly.
Later, confronted by an E! video crew outside Italian restaurant Orso on Saturday night, Sims confirmed the Fred Segal meeting with Spears. Sims told E! camera man James Sullivan that she and Britney "had fun" shopping, but Sims wouldn't comment when asked about how Sam is doing.
Well, we know what Sam wasn't doing. Around the same time Sims confirmed her meeting with Britney to E!, Spears was at L.A. nightclub Social with an unusual party partner: her father Jamie.
And, needless to say, no Sam in sight.

"Britney's civil rights have been violated"
The man who claims to be Britney Spears's new lawyer says that the pop star is being "deprived of her Constitutional rights" and tells PEOPLE he is seeking a "return to normalcy" when it comes to Spears's living and legal situations.
Jon Eardley, a lawyer with practices in Washington, D.C., New York and Whittier, Calif., filed a complaint in U.S. District Court on behalf of Spears on Thursday. He lashed out against the existing conservatorship as a "violation of [Spears's] civil rights," and requested the case be moved from California state court to a federal court.
"I see the case as a civil rights case," he tells PEOPLE. "These are issues of confinement. Very serious confinement. Not allowed to contact her friends. Not allowed to use the phone. Not allowed to come and go as you please. Bodyguards controlling you and so forth."
Spears's father Jamie was granted temporary conservatorship – allowing legal control of his daughter's well-being and finances – after Spears was placed under an involuntary, emergency hold at the UCLA Medical Center's psychiatric ward late last month.
Since her release on Feb. 6, she has spent much of her time at her Studio City home, and when she does go out, she is usually driven by a bodyguard. In court papers, Eardley states: "She is being confined by the conservator to the private prison of her own home."
On Friday, a Superior Court spokesperson said that the existing conservatorship and other orders "are still in effect," and that court officials are unaware of any federal court action or scheduled hearings on the matter.
Legal Maneuvering
"The saddest part [of the legal maneuvering] is it is all to [Britney's] detriment," says a legal insider. "The limited conservatorship puts in place medical care and protection of her assets that may be put at risk by the distraction and expense of having to get such an opportunistic and counterproductive action dismissed."
In fact, legal experts say Eardley's legal gambit is unlikely to succeed. "It's not like the judge read papers filed by one side and made decisions without giving each side due process," says Loyola Law School Professor Stan Goldman, who is not involved in the case.
"It would be quite surprising if the federal court granted a hearing on this," he adds, "and a total shocker if it ruled against the conservatorship."
In addition, the Superior Court has found that Spears "lacks the capacity" to retain counsel of her choosing. Because of that, lawyer Adam Streisand, who went to court on Feb. 4 to challenge the conservatorship on her behalf, removed himself himself from the case.
Spears Sought Out Lawyer
Eardley says he has not met the pop star, but Spears sought him out: "She reached out by phone. I have no idea how [she got my number]."
The attorney says he doesn't normally represent celebrity clients. But now Eardley has hired spokesperson Michael Sands, who until recently worked with Kevin Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan.
When asked if Spears's often-erratic behavior posed a danger to herself and others, Eardley answered, "I don’t," adding that he sees far worse cases on the streets.
"In downtown Los Angeles I'm surrounded by people talking to themselves and having fits on the street," says Eardley. "They are out in public. They are not being institutionalized."

Britney & Paris
Let's take it back kiddies, way back. These sexy pictures of Britney and Paris are from their first night hanging out together in Vegas back in November of 06. The bunny ears are a nice touch. Seems like just yesterday, yet forever ago. Enjoy an update that has absolutely nothing to do with custody battles, bipolar disorders, or paparazzi.

This is pretty ridiculous, yet really funny; made me laugh. Alli slips up on a twig on Robertson today, and the paparazzo dude follows her around all day with it. Haha... Check it.
